According to UPC for the third quarter of 2015, 20% of all payments (including purchases, payments and transfers) on cards, issued by client-banks of UPC, are made via Internet, PaySpaceMagazine reports.
Considering the money turnovers and the average check amount, the financial services are leading on Ukrainian sites – on the average the card holder spends UAH 2.5 ths, repaying loans and making online transfers. Plane and train tickets take 2nd place in terms of money turnovers, and the average check amount is equal to UAH 637. Then goes the purchase of cosmetics (MLM) as well as utility bills and replenishment of mobile phones.
In terms of the amount of money turnover among payments by the cards of the client-banks of UPC the plane, train and bus tickets are leading on the foreign sites. The average check in this category of services amounts to €176. The Ukrainians also actively purchase different commodities from abroad, but the average check amount is much less: payment for household stuff and décor - €64, clothes and footwear - €36. Different payment services in videogames and audio recording are also popular, however the average payment amount is about 8 euros. The foreign hotels are inferior in terms of money turnovers and the number of transactions, however they are leading in terms of the average payment amount: the average accommodation booking check in the foreign hotel reaches €300.
