Klychko says that the project will be invested by Germans.
The construction of Disneyland theme park will start in Kyiv Hydropark next year, Mayor’s Adviser Dmytrii Belotserkovets told.
According to him, it is highly likely that the project will be financed through German investors and designed by the same specialists, who designed Europark in Rust, Germany.
Furthermore, Klychko managed to make a deal with investors under his personal guarantee and thanks to the “international prominence” of Mayor Vitalii Klychko, whose family lives in Germany, namely in Rust, Belotserkovets noted.
Ukrainian businessmen allegedly refused from the construction of theme park due to the specificity of business, which does not bring fast return.
There is a hotel chain at the Europark in Rust and Disneyland in Paris. In Kyiv Hydropark the hotel construction is prohibited by Ukrainian legislation for recreational zone. Mayor’s Adviser Dmitrii Belotserkovets allows for construction of hotels near Hydropark, for example, in Nikolska Slobodka.
According to him, the planning design will be completed this year, UAH 8 million were already allocated for it.
“Next year the construction of Hydropark will begin. And, by the way, the reconstruction of zoo as well”, Belotserkovets promises.
