The materials for application to the court are already prepared, however there is no exact date for filing the claim.
Kyiv is ready to apply to the court to obligate Gazprom to pay the fine of UAH 85 billion (USD 3.4 bln), imposed on the company in January 2016 for the violation of antimonopoly legislation of Ukraine, Head of Antimonopoly Committee Yurii Terentiev said.
“The decision is subject to execution… if it is not executed, then we will apply to court”, the official said.
Terentiev noted that such application will be sent to the court after Gazprom exhausts all opportunities for appealing the AMCU decision in Ukrainian courts.
It should be reminded that in April 2016 the European Commission brought official charges to Gazprom due to its dominating position on the market of Central and Eastern Europe, which violates antimonopoly legislation of the European Union.
