From September 1 the electricity rates will increase by 25-30%.
In Ukraine from September 1, 2016, the electricity rates will increase, the National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission reports.
According to the National Commission schedule, the electricity rates will increase by 25-30%, depending on the consumption rate.
Thus, from September 1, the electricity rates are set as follows:
- under 100 kW/h – UAH 0.714 (previously – UAH 0.57);
- 100 kW/h – 600 kW/h – UAH 1.29 (previously UAH 0.99);
- above 600 kW/h – UAH 1.638 (previously – UAH 1.56)
The electricity rate for families with many children, foster families and family-type children's homes, irrespective of the volumes of electricity consumption is UAH 0.714.
Consequently, from mid-October the average family will pay for electricity UAH 387 instead of UAH 297 per month with the consumption of 300 kW.
The next stage of increasing rates is scheduled for March 1, 2017.
