EU wants to grant a visa-free regime to Ukraine and Georgia from January 1.
The visa-free regime for Georgia is also possible from the New Year, Correspondent reports.
EU expects that Ukraine and Georgia will obtain the visa-free regime with EU from January 1, 2017, Brussels correspondent of Radio Liberty Ricard Joswiak wrote in Twitter.
“EU diplomats expect for the final decision of the European Parliament and EU Council regarding visa liberalization for Ukraine and Georgia in October with introduction of the visa-free regime from January 1, 2017”, he noted.
Previously President Petro Poroshenko stated his confidence that within next few weeks the European Union will grant the visa-free regime to the citizens of Ukraine.
