The European Union has congratulated Ukraine on the Independence Day.
The European Union observes the significant progress, which Ukraine gained as the democratic and independent state for last 25 years, according to the official congratulation of the Representative of the European Foreign Service on the Independence Day of Ukraine on Wednesday, August 24.
“EU continues to support reforms in Ukraine. Our cooperation, based on common values, led to closer partnership under the association agreement, stipulating the deep and comprehensive free trade area and offering political partnership and new economic opportunities for both parties”, according to the congratulation.
The document emphasizes that Ukraine “is still the priority partner for the European Union”.
EU also promised to continue supporting efforts of Ukraine to ensure stable, prosperous and democratic future for all citizens of the country.
“As before, EU is determined in its support of territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine and will continue its policy of non-recognition of annexation of the Crimea by the Russian Federation”, according to EU.
