The General Prosecutor reported on apprehension and prompt extradition.
The Former Head of the State Agency for Investments and National Projects Vladislav Kaskiv was taken in custody in Panama.
Previously Lutsenko already reported on the apprehension of Kaskiv in Panama. But without the original writ from the Ukrainian party there were no reasons for adequate apprehension. Currently the original writ is submitted to the Panamanian party.
According to the General Prosecutor, the Kaskiv case hearing should be held within 48 hours.
“In case of the voluntary rendition, the extradition will be conducted under the simplified procedure and will last for 30 days for settlement of all procedural issues. And, in case of Kaskiv’s refusal from the voluntary rendition, under Panamanian legislation the party shall be given 60 days for protection of his interests and submission of counter-arguments against the materials of competent institutions of Ukraine. However, the Panamanian party assures that it does not yet see any reasons for refusal from extradition of Kaskiv”, the General Prosecutor of Ukraine noted.
Lutsenko also emphasized that currently there are no violations of the criminal legislation of the country, observed in actions of Kaskiv on the territory of Panama, GPOU Head Yurii Lutsenko reported to RBC-Ukraine.
