The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine (VRU) has strengthened employers’ responsibility for violation of labour legislation in case of non-observance of guarantees and benefits, imposed by law, for employees mobilized for military service. The corresponding draft law №2035а on Introduction of Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine regarding Strengthening Responsibility for Violation of Guarantees, Imposed by Law, for Employees Mobilized for Military Service has been supported by 234 parliamentarians, RBC-Ukraine (РБК-Украина) reports.
The law imposes the responsibility for violation of labour legislation in case of non-observance of guarantees and benefits, imposed by law, for employees, mobilized for military service, set out by the laws of Ukraine on Military Duty and Military Service, on Alternative (Non-military) Service, on Mobilization Preparation and Mobilization as a tenfold minimum salary, set by law upon the disclosure of violation for each employee, whose guarantees have been violated.
In addition, the document stipulates that the violation of guarantees and benefits, imposed by law, for mobilized employees results in the imposition of fine on executives of companies, institutions and organizations, irrespective of their form of ownership and citizens – entrepreneurs from fifty to one hundred personal exemptions.
