On the 16th November 2015, the Management Board of the National Bank of Ukraine adopted the decision №788 on approval of amendments to the regulation on specifics of bank reorganization as per decision of its owners, the regulator’s press-service reports.
According to the document, from now on the National Bank should grant a preliminary permission and approve the bank reorganization bank as per the owners’ decision not later than 2 business days from the submission of the set of documents by the bank. The simplified reorganization procedure can be applied only to the banks, which as per stress testing results need additional capitalization.
The decision on granting banking license, general license for conducting currency transactions of the bank, created as a result of a merger, should be taken within two weeks from the day of submission of the set of documents by the bank instead of two months, defined in the Law of Ukraine on Banks and Banking.
