China Development Bank (CDB) supported 32 projects on the territory of Kazakhstan. Meanwhile, the total amount of financing was over 20 bln dollars, the correspondent of the business information center Kapital.kz reports.
“I want to note that CDB set up a special credit line, amounting to 15 bln dollars. Under this line, Kazakhstan implemented 4 key projects. The total amount, approved for financing funds, amounted to 4.6 bln dollars. These projects include: light rail transport, polypropylene production project, herbicide creation project, as well as the modernization of Shymkentske OPP”, - the Minister of the National Economy Timur Suleimenov informed during the opening ceremony of CDB at IFCA exchange.
The Minister of the National Economy also told that the goods turnover between Kazakhstan and PRC increased by 33%. And as part of the last Kazakstan-China Business Council meeting, which was held this summer in Astana, it was signed over 40 commercial documents, totaling 13 bln dollars.
“The Bank already supported 32 projects on the territory of our country. The total amount of funding was over 20 bln dollars. These are such directions as oil, mineral resources, electrical power, chemical industry and finance. Currently, about 1,200 companies with Chinese capital participation function. They are represented in the fields of the industry, agriculture and financial sector”, Timur Suleimenov added.
