German Bayerische Motoren Werke (BMW), the world largest producer of premium cars in terms of sales volumes, intends to produce electric analogs for all its cars, INTERFAX reports quoting MarketWatch.
«We will systemically electrify all our brands and product lines», BMW CEO Harald Krueger said.
BMW produces cars with electric motors of i3 product line (small city car) and i8 (sports car). The car experts assess the quality and comfort of these cars very highly, but they note that fitting more massive models with electric motors, including SUVs, can significantly increase the number of buyers.
It was previously reported that the fully electric version of Mini Hatchback will appear in 2019, X3 Crossover - in 2020.
