Russia, Oman, Kazakhstan, Mexico and Azerbaijan agreed to participate in negotiations, the OPEC source noted, TASS reports.
Only five oil-producing countries out of fourteen non-OPEC countries agree to discuss the reduction of average daily oil production at the negotiations on December 10, Reuters reports quoting OPEC countries.
Thus, out of 14 non-OPEC countries, only Russia, Oman, Kazakhstan, Mexico and Azerbaijan agreed to participate in negotiations. “Nothing is clear yet, let’s wait until Saturday”, one of the agency’s sources noted.
According to other source, it is most likely that non-OPEC countries will reduce oil production by 500 ths barrels per 24 hours instead of 600 ths, as it was initially intended.
In addition, TASS’s source, close to Russian delegation, reported that RF considers it possible to reschedule the meeting of OPEC and non-OPEC countries. According to him, there exist controversies among OPEC countries regarding what and how much needs to be reduced.
Meanwhile, the official representative of RF Ministry of Energy confirmed for TASS that the meeting on regulation of oil production rate will be held on December 10 in Vienna.
Ahead of the above-mentioned news, Brent crude oil prices did not virtually change dynamics and increased from 0.3% to 1.3%.
