US Labor Department threatens to ban Google from running business with federal government through court action, unless the Internet company passes confidential information about thousands of its employees, RIA News reports quoting Associated Press.
According to the agency, on Wednesday, the lawyers from the Labor Department filed the corresponding suit to the administrative court. The lawsuit, in particular, specifies that Google repeatedly denied providing the Department with information on paid benefits to its employees and other information. The lawyers explained that the Department needs this information to make sure that there is no gender and race discrimination against employees in California-based company.
Google representatives claimed that in response to the inquiries of the Labor Department, they provided hundreds of thousands of data on employees, but they denied providing data on «some claims of the Department», which were recognized in the company as «invasion of personal information».
