Director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) John Brennan expressed hope for improvement of relationships between Washington and Moscow, emphasizing the significance of this process for global stability, RIA News reports.
«Certainly, I hope for improvement of relationships between Moscow and Washington within next several years. As it is vitally important to improve relationships for the stability in the world as well as in Russia and USA», Brennan said in his interview to PBS TV company, which previously published the first part of conversation with CIA Director.
In the meantime, he noted that there are no reasons for speaking of the beginning of a new Cold War. In his opinion, the assumption of power of a new administration of President-Elect Donald Trump can contribute to improvement of relationships between Moscow and Washington.
