U.S. Department of State did not obtain Congress’ permission for declaring war against North Korea.
U.S. Congress did not give any permission to use military force against North Korea, U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson said during the sessions of U.S. Senate Committee on Foreign Relations, Correspondent.net reports quoting Interfax.
During the sessions on using military force, one of senators asked Tillerson to confirm that there is not any Senate’s permission to use military force against DPRK.
“Yes, it is my understanding”, U.S. Secretary of State replied.
According to U.S. constitution, the declaration of war falls within the authorities of the Congress.
