The investors leave Russia. It is the largest withdrawal of funds since the beginning of anti-Russian sanctions.
For 2017, the foreign investors withdrew about USD 900 mln from the Russian market. Commersant reports quoting the data of Merrill Lynch report, Correspondent reports.
“Due to the absence of approximation in relationships between U.S. and Russia for the year, the foreign investors withdrew almost 900 mln. The Russian stock indexes are among the outsiders among stock exchange indicators of the developing countries”, the edition reports.
As is noted, this withdrawal of funds is the largest during the period of anti-Russian sanctions.
The experts explained that the anomaly behavior of investors on the Russian market is caused by the disappointed expectations at the beginning of the year.
As Correspondent.net reported, the European Union extended the economic sanctions against Russian until 31 July 2018.
