Moscow Tagansky District Court satisfied the claim of Roscomnadzor on blocking Telegram on Russia’s territory, Mediazone reports.
Previously, the messenger’s representatives asked to postpone the hearing of a claim on merits, because they consider that their rights for protection were grossly violated: Telegram did not show Roscomnadzor’s claim and did not familiarize with FSS’ position, which they also attracted to this case.
The court denied postponing the hearing. The messenger’s representatives did not show up for it. As Snob reports, Durov forbid his lawyers to go to court.
The hearings continued for less than 30 minutes. According to the ruling, the messenger will have a restricted access to fulfilling obligations on FSS’ encryption keys delivery.
The court obligated Roscomnadzor to stop creating technical conditions for receiving, delivering, writing messages in the messenger. The ruling should be fulfilled urgently and can be challenged within a month in Moscow City Court.
It should be reminded that Roscomnadzor threatened to block Telegram, if the messenger does not provide users’ messages decoding keys. For satisfying the requirements, the messenger was given 15 days, but Telegram did not provide keys.
