During negotiations of U.S. and RF presidents Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin, the issue of oil prices may be discussed, the Kremlin concedes, Bloomberg found out.
During Helsinki Summit on July 16, U.S. and RF presidents Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin may discuss the situation on the global oil market.
Russia is prepared for Trump to raise the issue of additional increase of oil production for achieving the gas price reduction in U.S. before Congressional elections.
Spokesperson for the National Security Council Vincent Picard denied confirming that during the summit, the questions, related with the situation on the energy markets, will be discussed. Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitri Peskov did not previously rule out that such topic might be touched.
It should be reminded that Trump repeatedly encouraged OPEC countries to increase the oil production in order to reduce prices.
In late June, OPEC member countries agreed to increase oil delivery to the market.
