Antivirus Dr. Web warned about the spreading of banking virus program BankBot, which infected Android smartphones in dozens of countries, including Ukraine, Liga.net reports.
As the developers of Dr. Web note, the Trojan Android.BankBot.211.origin makes users provide access to Accessibility Service.
With their help, the malware program operates mobile devices and steals confidential information of the clients of financial organizations.
Android.BankBot.211.origin spreads as the harmless applications, for example, Adobe Flash Player, the developers report.
First, the virus attacked only the citizens of Turkey. But now it poses threat to the users of dozens of countries.
The virus can demonstrate false windows for entering online banking systems, payment systems and Google Play Store.
The virus also can steal logins, passwords and other authentication information.
