Ukraine will start implementing the fourth generation connection. The licenses will be sold in the open competition.
During its Wednesday meeting, on August 9, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the decision on starting the sale of 4G connections licenses, according to the governmental portal, Correspondent.net reports.
While presenting the respective decision, Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groisman stated that the license sale contest will be maximum transparent, and its results will bring new technologies to the state in the future, and additional revenues to the budget.
“We expect that the public sale will allow attracting funds to the budget; however, the main thing is that the modern infrastructure will be created to develop the national economy”, he said.
Previously, Head of National Commission for the State Regulation of Communications and Informatization Alexander Zhivotovsky stated that the starting price of licenses for the launch of 4G network in Ukraine is appraised at UAH 6.3 bln.
