First issue highlights criminological examination

26 December, a scientific and practical journal «Forensic examination» was presented, founded by the Justice Ministry of Ukraine and LLC «Publishing House «In Jure», informs the press service of the Ministry of Justice.

«The relevance of this edition is obvious: our main objective today is to protect human rights and enhance the role of justice, which depends, inter alia, on the proper mechanism of proving», Maksym Raiko, Deputy Minister of Justice of Ukraine, stated during the presentation.

He said the featuring reputable international practices on the pages of the journal, and sharing experiences and holding discussions will add value and actualize the new edition.

«The idea of this publication is to inform broad readership on the current state of legal expertise both in Ukraine and in the world. Our main goal - to adapt the national examination to the latest technology, so that we can skillfully deal with challenges that are occasionally facing this particular type of expertise «, said Liudmyla Holovchenko, head of the expert justice department at the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine.

Today in Ukraine there are roughly 80 types of judicial expertise: forensic, economic, psychological, construction, handwriting, ballistic, art and more.

While the first issue is devoted to the topic criminological examination, the next issues will look at ballistic and copyright examination.
