The CEO of the company, producing driverless Matreshka buses, Bakulin Motors Group (belongs to Volgabus Group of Companies) Alexei Bakulin appraised the company’s value for USD 300-400 mln in 2018, he said during the interview to TASS.
Bakulin did not say how much the company is appraised now. “Now, I consider that the company’s price is not so high to attract investors, we are ready for this conversation. Those funds, which will come to us, are required to compensate time and become big and significant for the future market”, he said.
In future, Bakulin Motors Group intends to attract public or corporate funds, the company’s CEO added. He did not exclude the possibility of cooperation with foreign investors either, including Asian investors.
Bakulin Motors Group (belongs to Volgabus Group of Companies) assembles driverless buses Matreshka. The bus, driven by the computer with self-learning software, is designed for 8 passengers. If the battery is fully charged, the bus may go 130 km. The maximum speed is 30 km/h. The testing of driverless buses is conducted on the closed territory of Skolkovo Innovation Center.
By the end of 2017, Bakulin Motors Group intends to produce 50 cars within the first production batch at the robotized plant in Sobinsky District of Vladimir Region.
