US GDP will not grow to 3% in 2017.
The country’s GDP growth, amounting to 3%, promised by US President Donald Trump, is unachievable for this year, Trade Secretary Wilbur Ross said, Correspondent.net reports, quoting Reuters.
“The three-percent growth will surely not be achieved this year”, - Ross said in the interview to the agency.
According to him, the Congress, which approves Trump’s appointees and is responsible for the budget financing, is operating very slowly.
Accelerating the economic growth requires that the tax reduction and investments in infrastructure projects operated minimum several months, Ross noted.
In 2017, IMF forecasts the economic growth of 1.9% in the USA.
It should be reminded that Trump suggested reducing the corporate profit tax from 35% to 15%.
For the individuals, it was suggested reducing the number of tax categories from seven to three.
