Senior Analyst of High Frequency Economics (HFE) Jim O’Sullivan becomes the most U.S. accurate forecaster of statistical data for the seventh year in a row, Finance.ua reports quoting MarketWatch.
MarketWatch observes forecasts of the analysts of the largest financial companies on a monthly basis and sums up the results at the year-end. J. O’Sullivan became the winner of this “competition” 10 times for the last 14 years.
Ryan Sweet, Moody’s, and Spencer Staples, EconAlpha, are also among the top three winners in 2017.
It is noted that J. Sullivan is full of optimism in regard to U.S. economy. “Everything points that the growth will speed up”, he said.
The last year’s best forecaster expects that U.S. GDP will increase in 2018 by 2.8%, while the unemployment rate will drop to 3.5% that will result in salary increase.
