U.S. President promised to cancel duties for steel and aluminum, if the European Union refuses from taxes for imported products from U.S.
U.S. President Donald Trump wrote in Twitter that EU countries badly treat U.S. in terms of trade and proposed the European Union from import duties for U.S. products, Correspodent.net reports.
“The European Union, wonderful countries, which treat U.S. so badly in terms of trade, complain about the duties for steel and aluminum. If they refuse from their awful barriers and duties for imported U.S. products, we will also cancel ours. Large deficit. If no, we will impose tax on cars etc.”, U.S. President wrote.
It should be noted that European Commissioner for Competition Margrethe Vestager stated that Brussels does not intend to do nothing after Washington impose new import duties and threatened with response measure against U.S.
